This past weekend as we all might already know, was insane. Being Art Basel and all, the city was amplified. Every year, Miami gets bombarded with thousands and thousands of visitors, tourists, galleries, and artists. Which is great for people who enjoy the arts! As an artist myself, it definitely is a time to take advantage to connect with other artists and get out to see other’s work. Broaden your horizons! Learn! Absorb! Network!!! All this is SO very important, truly is underrated.
On the last day of Basel, I took off to see an outdoor gallery of vintage automobiles…wow. Now this wasn’t your typical gallery of course, but it definitely is an art form in itself. Basically, it was various collections from different owners that showcased their beautiful cars from exotic, to vintage to custom and more. I wanted to take advantage of the small crowds so I went pretty early in the morning. As soon as I arrived, I knew right away I was going to get just a few good snaps. My mind turned on the switch and I was on GO mood. The light was perfect, cloud formations, freshly painted murals on the walls behind the cars, you could not ask for a better scenario. I really enjoyed this sort of outdoor gallery that Miami Super Car Rooms had organized. They are great group of people by the way, especially Elo the owner, reinventing what Basel has to offer. For anyone into cars, this is like going into a toy store as a kid. For anyone who appreciates this art form, it’s pretty awesome to shoot! I had the opportunity to also work with them 2 days earlier, getting an ultimate self-tour of the private gallery. Outstanding.
If you so happened to miss this one, there’s always next year 🙂
