This morning’s sunrise workshop was nothing less than awesome, it couldn’t have been any better. I gotta say, this particular park has grown on me. At first, I never was fond of it and to be quite honest, did not ever think I could capture anything like I have been this past month. I stand corrected many times over. It is a great spot to watch the sunrise and photograph, which is why I decided to host a workshop there. I think for a place to really be photographed the way you want it to be seen, one must have to feel it. It’s all about collecting the vibes it throws at you, stepping back to analyze, and determine what it is you want. It sounds weirder than when it actually happens, but trust me when I tell you it works. Luckily, the massive amount of cloud coverage was telling me to definitely silhouette the hell out of the palm trees! The sun was so bright and was warming up every minute that was going by, I had to be quick before everything changed. I knew what I wanted and went for it. All while helping everyone else out of course, since I was actually hosting a workshop first and foremost! Though I think everyone was pretty much on the same vibe, getting the right light from the right angle. I did after all, name my workshops Chasing the Light 101!

It was another successful workshop for the books and I cannot wait to schedule many more this upcoming month. So stay tuned and join Chasing Light 101 on meetup.com! Here’s a link to This morning’s meetup page!
